The raceshopper site is correct with their information, but they are talking in generalities, not about SRF specifically. Castrol's spec sheet says the fluid is a DOT 3/4 fluid, and it is hygroscopic, just not as hygroscopic as most other brake fluids (hence the 518* wet boiling point). It does have a max recommended service life of 18 months, so that is something else to keep in mind.
So why don't more people use it? The cost, quite obviously...that chemistry ain't cheap to mass-produce.
