Tranny makes grinding noise in gear under accel I'm posting this for a friend of mine. He has a 2000 WS6 with a manual trans. I don't have any idea about it so I thought i'd ask for some ideas here.
When he engages second gear at a low rpm and presses the gas down the tranny starts to make a grinding noise, not that loud but noticable. But it drives fine and the noise will go away up the rpms. It only happens in second gear also.
