LMR has denied the merger . I think the story of the builders / owner of SSI is going to work for LMR is a little more accurate . Times are tough and only building one type of transmission is not something most legit shops do . Even with building several different types , times are still hard right now for almost everyone . Tremec raising its prices is not helping things much either .

My husband was the builder for SSI up until about a month ago. He is at LMR and will be the only one to build transmissions for LMR as well as wrench on cars.

I am going to have my trans rebuilt this winter. I am tired of not having third gear anymore. I heard SSI had some problems and I was thinking about Tick. I know things are getting tough hopefully SSI can get everything worked out. I know there are a lot of people who are happy with them.

Six Speeds Inc is where I got mine from. Quality unit so far and great customer service. They went way out of their way for me when a clutch malfunction did some damage to the trans and they didn't even charge me for labor, new parts, or shipping back, even though it wasn't at all their fault. Speak with Amber, she'll hook you up.

Yea, I vote for SSI. I've got an order in to them right now for a Stage 4 Build, I'm currently in Iraq at the moment. I mailed them the deposit for the order right before I left, and it will be done and ready when I come back in Feb.
Amber was very helpful and understanding in that I wouldn't be able to be reached or in contact with them as much about it, so every bit of info needed was gotten to them to hook me up.
