My wife and I are expecting our first child, so I am putting this one up for sale. I have enjoyed my time immensely with this car but I'll need something with a back seat to enjoy during the warm months, and need to see this car go to a good home first. With all the time and money I've invested in the vehicle, it is my intent to be honest and up front about the condition of the vehicle, the work that has been performed, and any items that need attention.

I am the 3rd owner and bought the car on CorvetteForum. The car was bought new in 2000 and sold to the 2nd owner in 2002, who owned it for 14 years and sold it to me in January of 2016. I have a stack of paperwork a couple inches thick of maintenance records from her ownership (yes, it was female driven for most of its life), along with another giant stack of paperwork from my ownership.

The C5 platform needs no introduction and I believe this is the ultimate "OEM+" incarnation of the platform. The FRC is one of more rare iterations of the C5 model, with only a few thousand being built in 2000, and even fewer of those being available in Black. This car has many additional desirable options, such as the Z51 package, thinner windshield glass, HUD, CD changer, and dual auto climate control. The modern 6.2L engine is the cherry on top. I've completed projects in the past integrating a different engine into a chassis - my previous project was a 2001 BMW 5 series powered by a cammed 6.0 LS engine that I used as a daily driver for years.

I can also include (for the right price) a spare set of the very rare N73 Magnesium lightweight wheels. The factory setup is 17/18, but I have upgraded these to a 18x9.5 square size for track use as they are very lightweight. Tires are Federal 595 RSRR with about half the life remaining.

Matter of fact, I also have an extra set of 2 16" Firebird ABS alloys that I could include as well if someone wanted them for drag racing or something.

NEGATIVES
Again, in the interest of being honest, there are a few things that could be considered an issue:

TPMS warning is on due to the sensors not being installed in the C6 wheels. I do have all 4 sensors and will include them with the car. They worked perfectly when they were removed.

Headlights gears are grinding when closed, but still work fine for the past 4 years.

Keyless entry does not work. I am assuming a dead internal battery in the fobs since it worked when I bought the car. I just always lock the car using the door cylinder. 2 keys and 2 fobs are included.

Interior has some minor scuffs and scratches on the center console by the cupholder.

I have had a couple small incidents over the years - cosmetic fender benders with other cars. Pictures are available of all issues below.
May 2016 - coworker backed up into the front bumper in a parking lot. I replaced the bumper cover with one from a 2003 Black Z06. No other damage.
July 2016 - a car brushed the driver's side rear fender at 5mph. I buffed out the marks, no other damage.
Fall 2017 - SUV brushed the driver's side, requiring replacement of the fuel filler door and the rear fender with OEM parts. The door and rocker panel were professionally repaired/painted by a friend of mine who is experienced with fiberglass Corvette repairs and is a C6 owner.

None of these incidents have affected the driveability or the functionality of the car, and have no evidence remaining that they ever happened.

I am sure that I've forgotten something but would be happy to answer any questions. It has been a fantastic car to me and I've loved owning it, but growing family forces sale. Very fast and composed, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country.

Only trades I will consider are E92 M3 6MT.

Bump - sale fell through, buyer was not able to commit.

I also dropped the price as I've found another car that fits my needs. Looking to move this FRC along to the right home!

Damn Norb, this is tempting if I wasn't trying to buy a house right now. For anyone looking for a C5, this would be a no brainer. I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from the seller, always takes top notch care of his cars.

Forgot I had this clip from a few months back, with the straight pipes installed. That exhaust has since been replaced with Z06 Ti's but sounds similar with the cutouts open.
