Question Il Plate Renewal Question

Tryed calling my local Dmv but they seem busy as I just keep getting put on hold

My plates expire at the end of November , I plan to have the car parked by then . My Question is if I do not renew them until march or April and just pay the extra 30 dollar fee for late registration Would I get a sticker to be good till Nov. 09 Or a year from when I re new the plates and they would be March 10

First time Im parking the car over winter Figured alot of other ppl came into this situation as well Thanks guys

.

I used to do that with my big work trucks. Only get the plates if we were busy enough to need all the trucks each year.
They made me pay the back money due last time I renewed late. Didn't know it was the democrats,
but it doesn't surprise me.

Can you change your licenseplate number when renewing? I would assume you have to repay the $170 or w.e and get a whole new plate. I want to get something specific on mine.

You can apply for custom plates at any time, online or from the DMV or currency exchange. Google "cyberdrive IL" and you'll find the IL SOS's website for online transactions.
