So what can I expect as far as inspections are concerned (sniffer/OBD2) no cats, but have HPT for code removal
insurance for a T/A
What's the car scene like (probably not much in the winter)

crystal lake isnt too far from me!

emission isnt bad if i passed you can.....i have a big cam dumped exhaust and no cats...they dont do a sniff test just plug your car in......

car is is good in the summer as long as you hit up the shows.......get a occasional red light race!

Emissions: As long as you aren't throwing a code you will pass. I passed with my cut out open and the emissions people with their jaw dropped. Always amusing.

Scene: Pretty darn good. But only good for about 4 months out of the year.

 

Well down here you only get about 6 months, but quality over quantity

 

as for emissions we have OBII, if your not throwing any codes you will be fine. Passed with my trans am, i have a cam and not cats so it is all good

 

during the summer there are a lot of car shows around here. almost everyday of the week there is one in some town close by. there are a couple fbody meet-ups also, usually like the speed inc open house, finish line performance open house, picnics here and there. overall a good time.

Seriously though for the 3-4 warm months we have it is pretty nice.
