The final round came down to a dodge demon and a dodge challenger. I think it was the blue demon that won it. Each won 1 race then the demon won the last race. The chalenger was yellow.
Rich thought it was christmas... He is a "mopar fan".

I "interviewed" a guy in a black Z from N of Lafayette. I was down at the line with the polo shirt, clip board and crew badge asking your thoughts on the process.
We drove the Superbee on Sat. We parked it next to the tower beside Richs' limo, so it might be in some of the shots. Yes, he likes the old Mo's for sure.
Funny what one of you said about the starting line. I run there and 1.70 is about as good as I get in the TA also. ORP is 1 of 5 NHRA owned tracks. They milk it for everything it is worth and invest nothing. That is why a privately owned facility is almost always a faster track with beter staff, pitting, parking, etc. They are in it to make money so they can pay the bills. ORP was paid for many moons ago and the way NHRA see's it...she ain't eating any hay.

Didnt say anything.. I went 10.98 Friday night during the Test and Tune, then ran that 10.89 Saturday... Just handed me my slip and I went on!
Now had I been selected as part of the top 16 or 32 I'd have got the boot..

The track hosting the event is in charge of teching cars in and safety. Pinks has nothing to do with that other than organizing the data. If you go through tech and tell them it is a 12.00 sec car, they simply put you in the "A" class with all the other 12.00 sec cars. Now you are tech'd in. You go out and run 11.00, well they just move you to the next class. Again each track is in charge of that aspect of the show, so they can either re-tech you or just move you and go on. Most tracks are so overwhelmed with the show that they do not have time to re-tech anyone. If a person protests a safety issue, he is protesting to the track, not Pinks. Once a protest is made, the track has to address the issue and decide if they are going to conform to rules that govern their track, primarily insurance rules, especially when they are on national TV.
