You're more than welcome to come hang out anyway if you'd like. It might not be the same without your car there - mine probably won't be - but I'm sure it's still going to be fun sans car.

Major thanks to Scott for sending this e-mail message out to his Camaro and Firebird mailing list.

AccuWeather is predicting 80 degrees and sunshine! We've received 230 registrations so far - so if you haven't registered yet, please do so!

Well, it doesn't look like I'll be making it again this year. I made 2 and missed 2. Brian, you put on a great event and I really appreciate it. I really look forward to it. It's a great time for everyone.

Best of luck with it and hopefully see you next year. Dennis

Dennis - thanks for the compliments and I'm sorry to hear you won't be able to make it! This year is undoubtedly turning out to be the best show we've ever had from a planning perspective. Trophies, goody bags and prizes - we're finally getting a little more organized.

Speaking of which, Dennis I know I've probably asked this in the past (hell maybe earlier in this thread?) but where in Macomb are you from? I'm at 24 and Hayes. My car's been down for awhile so I haven't been out on the streets but I'd be surprised if we haven't ran into eachother before.

I'm at 22 mile and Romeo Plank. Real close to you.

Did you end up swapping your motor?

No kidding - yea you're right around the corner. If you ever need help with wrenching or anything, feel free to shoot me a PM.

We did end up swapping motors - It had an LT1 in it for 80 miles and then it spun two bearings. Newb mistake on not changing the oil after a few heat cycles, not checking for gas in the oil, and not realizing a dent in the oil pan was suffocating the oil pump.

Took it to a machine shop and they bored the cylinders 040 over and then line bored the crank. Now it's just the race to see if it will get to the M&G or not.

Respond only in the reference thread or by PM,do not respond in this M&G thread so it can be kept on topic.

Less than a week left and we're nearing the 275 registration mark! WOW! I still can't get over how many registrations we've received and if the weather predictions hold true this is going to be one of the best weather M&Gs ever

Coming from Cleveland,Ohio, once we get into Michigan,is there anything to avoid as far as construction or road closures for US23,I96,I275,I75?
What's the earliest we should arrive?

Here's MDOT's page which allows you to search the different construction projects. There's construction well... everywhere in the Detroit area but getting there shouldn't be too bad I don't believe?

I'll be there at 7am to start setting up - but if you're willing to get there around 8am you'll see the majority of convoys coming in which is always a lot of fun to see 50-something FBodies entering the show all at once.

Awesome - we should be there for atleast another two hours if you get there at 1pm. Since we were a last minute addition to Baker's schedule on Saturday we have to make sure we're cleared out in time for a wedding reception ~3:30-4pm.
