Sorry for your loss. This brought tears to my eyes as well. I just went through this with my grandmother a few days before Christmas. The situation was about the same. Her lungs could not take it any more. We watched her take her last breath of air. That was my last grand parent left alive. Very tuff times indeed. But hang in there things will get better. Being there for the family is the most important thing you can do.

As mentioned above, it's times like this when EVERYTHING else seems materialistic.

+1 on bringing tears. I'm 38 and have lost all of my grandparents. It is always hard to go through this especially when you are close. Stay strong and keep your head up! Condolences. Vince

very sorry for your families loss. I have lost all of my grandparents a long time ago. It is a very tough time but time helps heal. She is in a better place without suffering. Just be there more for your grandfather and spend some more time with him. That will help him alot.
Me and my families prayers are with your family i this tough time.

I wish you and your family the best. I also went through the same situation at Christmas. It was the hardest thing I've gone through in my 24 years.

My deepest condolences.

thanks everyone, i just got back from the funeral. the wake was huge yesterday, hundreds upon hundreds of people showed up. We had 40+ cars in the funeral procession today. It was amazing. Being a pall bearer went well, and i felt special leaving my gloves there with her to go into the burial. She will be missed, but I didn't cry at all this time. I just did everything I could to make everyone else feel better. I'm a little scared now because my grandpa is getting really sick. He didn't even come to the wake yesterday. He came today, but he did not come to the interment or luncheon.
