Anyone have to put their pet down?-pics-062.jpgI just had to put my 4 year old yellow lab down about 4 hours ago, by far the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my life. RIP my baby boy Zeus!!!

Dude.

One of the worst feelings in the world. I'm really sorry man. I had to put my black lab to sleep a few years back after she was with my family for 11 years. It's like losing a member of your family.

Been through it 8 different times 7 cats and 2 dogs....never gets any easier. The last time was my cat MAUI who was 22 years old....I was a wreck!
Currently have 5 dogs and 2 cats so I'm sure at some point it will happen again.

Sorry to hear about your loss....

My 5 year old yellow lab"Mondo" died after a short illness 1/10/09 at home .Was one of the saddest things I have been thru. I am picking up my new Akita puppy this weekend and am very excited about it.Mondo will never be replaced in my heart and will be missed forever. I cant stand coming home to an empty house it wll be nice to have a dog around again. I feel your pain.

Sorry for your loss man. I just had to deal with this 2 years ago. I had my dog for over 11 years and it was like my kid. Hell I was only 10 when I got it. So if that tells you how hard it was for me having to put him down.
Good Luck and I hope you find a way to deal with this. It's hard but be tough and time will ease your pain!

Loosing a pet is just as hard as loosing another family member. Our first dog died a couple years ago and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. Closest thing I've had to me die. I was devistated for weeks after. I hope you get over it quickly. Just remember, their is a pet heaven and they're there right now waiting to be reunited with their loved ones when they pass on.

Default So sorry for your loss...

Weird how many of us "manly man" types lose it completely in times like that.
Had to go thought it with my ex's cat maybe 15 years ago. I didn't even LIKE cats, but the first time I went to pick my future ex up for a date, she wasn't ready (duh!, sign of things to come) this beautiful black cat jumps in my lap, soo affectionate. Her kidneys started failing when she was about 16, couldn't drink water.

One of the toughest decisions, and man did I cry like a baby! I don't believe we get over it, we just get through it the best we can. Prayers to you, just remember all the good stuff...
