Lets see. I have seen a ton of 03-04 Cobras for $15-20K. Intake, catback, pulley and tune equals 450whp. BUueven if you take out the 03-04s, 4v n/a Cobras run close to LS1's, low 12's with bolt ons/gears and can be had for well under $10k. More power for less money is a dumb argument. You can buy a crap 5.0 and get it in the 12's with Explorer parts out of a junkyard., where is your logic in that? You could probably get a DSM to run in the 11's for cheaper than buying a nice LS1. So I guess Chevy sucks by your logic? Brand loyalty is fine, but Ford cars are all gay is a retarded statement.

You are still new here but you will find quickly there are as many Ford fans as Chevy fans here. Could be because they have made some great cars.

What are you talking about? They have really turned around qaulity wise latly.


They are also building a AWD twin turbo V6 sedan, and the new mustang is built much better.


3Vs really open up with boltons and a proper tune, and for the money its the fastest v8 rwd car new.

I'm a Ford fan, but I stick with the 4-eye's, they are just sexy for the bang-for-the-buck. There are pro's and con's to every car, engine, whatever. GM has their high points. They designed a billy-bad-*** street engine with 10.5:1 compression, great power, mated it to a 6spd ... oh my what did you do GM, you slapped in the old 7.5" rear that was barely good enough for the weak-kneed 305 that was around in the early 80's. So what do you GM guys do? Place a Ford 8.8" or 9" rear, so you don't break that 'fragile' rear end of yours. I, personally, like the mod-motors, while they kinda suck on the power output, they have nice low compression from the factory that's just BEGGING for boost.

I spend most of my time in the Conversions and Hybrid area, because I'll be dropping a twin turbo 6.0L into a fox-body coupe in the near future.

 

yes. i consider it my wife's car, i might drive it 5 times a year. it is a lowered 4th gen ws6 6 spd. basically everything that is evil and i am against.

edit: about the ford fans...i consider myself a ford fan. but, i guess using that logic, i am also a nissan fan, toyota fan, dodge fan, honda fan, etc etc. the cobras you guys speak of are badass, period. whether you like them or not it is undeniable.
