I know I need a heater. I know I need alot of stuff that kit won't come with. But I thought that all a heater did was heat up the Nitrous oxide so that it would expand inside the bottle to create more consistency, and very little pressure lose.

A heater cranks the pressure up but you have to watch it or you will get to much pressure and have to purge ir a bunch. Past like the 1/8th mile you will see a preasure drop even with the heater on. This is why people or going with a NANO. Its expensive but you can get every last drop out of the bottle and its keeps the pressure perfect the entire run. Not really needed though for the smaller shots but thats just my opinion.

With just the bottle you may only be able to use like 6 pounds before you have to refill, with a heater like 8, with a NANO all 10 pounds in a 10 pound bottle.

There are guys with a 300 ish shot that have picked up .3 with a NANO but again they are not cheap. With what you want, get a heater haha.

P.S. I will never ever run a progressive.......... ever.......... to hard on the noids.

Yeah and I planned on getting one of those switches as well. I don't really want my car to be fucked just because I miss a gear lmao.

Get some TR-6 plugs.... theya re not that great N/A but you will need then for the bottle.

I think there is a company on here that will give you the plugs for free if you buy the MSD wires.

Colder.

The more power you make the colder the plug you need. Not really more of a spark as it is hoter of a spark.

To give you an idea a -6 is a good bolt-on with bollte plug. A -8 tends to be about right for a built motor (not talking good daily driver) on the motor with some juice, -10 is built motor on a 300 shot or so.

I got some -8's for my last car, and they were like $3 a peice and they don't last forever.

When it comes to plugs and spraying keep an eye on the plugs and replace them fairly often.

The 300+ shot guys check the plugs every run and most replace them every run or every other run.

you are probably better off making your own kit.

nos solenoids are known to stick...

but their high flow bottle valves have worked wonders for me

zex makes good heaters.

lines are lines

TNT makes reliable window switches (or used to idk i haven't gotten new no2 stuff in quite a while)

look around, do your research etc. installation is easy. bring a laptop to your car, sign onto aim, and i can walk you through it via IM...as i'm sure many of the guys on this site can do.

What?

When a burst disc lets loose it makes ALOT of noise and vents ALOT of nitrous quickly. All the tube does it direct it out of the cabin so you don't get burned or asphyxiate.

Sweet. James talked me into a wet kit so I'm going to see if I can get one cheap. I priced a 150hp wet kit with a heater for like 700 dollars but I'm going to see if I can find it cheaper anywhere else. No point in spending extra money for nothing haha.

You can put a used set together for cheap.
I have just over $500 in mine and got almost everything here used.
I have a wet kit with timing tuner/window switch, Fpss, blow down, 15# bottle w/ pressure gauge, nitrous filter, heater, and purge. I have the NOS powershot noids good to 200hp. So not the biggest noids but I'm not going to spray 300.
You can find good deal if you check the classifieds.
If you want I'm in greenwood aswell. You can come check my kit out and I am also willing to help with you install.

Yep, and I have seen guys get about 7 or so out of a 10 pounder on a 150 with heat.

Agreed, I would not want to risk a massive fire and bottles have been known to explode....... Id never trust that little burst disk. I should have worded my post better.

Tube gets the nitrous out of the car but bottles can and do sometimes explode.... its rare and often because someone uses a torch but its happens.

Buying everything used is fine but don't trust the noids. Pull them apart and rebuild them and use the teflon parts. If the N20 noid sticks open then you might as well yank the engine. I got an NX wet kit on here used with 20 passes shipped for like $400 years ago. Stay away from the dry shots. Yes they can be made to work but you need a fuel system most of the time.

I know on the LS1 and LT1 cars a 150 shot is safe all day long if you have the plugs and an aftermarket fuel pump like the racetronics. I would not spray anything with a stock fuel pump but thats just me.

I only got 4 solid passes with a 10lbs. bottle WITH heat. After that it was hit and miss. I also sprayed a 150 shot many times when I had a sock fuel pump with no issues.

Thats odd....

Never said it can't be done with the stock fuel pump. Just safer.

An aftermarket pump is cheap insurance. Granted they can go also.

At the very least get a fuel pressure switch if you want to stay on the stock pump for a while.

Yeah I wouldn't mind looking at your setup sometime. Do you cruise in greenwood often?
