No prob here, I just got mine tested as well. I did have to clear some O2 sensor codes the day prior but all was good at the test.

You can pass with any damn cam as long as its tuned (Mike will do a great job) and all the right sensors have been deleted from the CPM, like rear o2's, air pump, skip shift eliminator if you have an m6. Just take it!
Goodluck on your new setup!

Yup. In IL as long as your gas cap is ok and you are not throwing any codes you pass.

So when they tune them out, do they basically just set them to "ready" status? I had a turbo Civic before and I had the hardest time passing because the ECU was not programable that I ran because it was from a 95-older setup which did not plug in. When I would switch back to my factory ecu I had to be very careful not to boost and if I was lucky the ecu would cycle through its checks and not throw anything. I am hoping now if I start modding my Trans Am its much easier.

yea, they just clear out all the codes and with the emmision codes they put them to ready. These are not some shitbox honda.

I have a MS4 in my vette and was tuned by mike at Straightline. Drove the car to the place and pulled in. The guy let me stay in my car. Told me to start it up after i plugged in the computer and about 20 seconds later said the car passed with no problem and the gas cap was good. Went to the test center in markham, they could care less that my car stunk up the whole place, no cats.
After mike gets done tuning it you will have no worries. He is top notch and if you did have any problems he will take care of them immediately.

No problem with dumps or any other exhaust set-up since there is no exhaust hook up anymore. Also no visual inspection at all.

jesus. Is that really necessary.

Get over this elitist ****.

We're lucky in this platform that it's not difficult to mod these ecus, compared to Hondas and Subarus. They have some advanced, non-tuner friendly ecus.

He's gonna set all the necessary DTC's(codes) to no error reported. So even when it does notice the rear 02's missing, the misfire etc, it won't report the error and trip the SES light or register a code.

Also, remind him to watch the readiness tests to make sure they all pass. Even though my car didn't throw any codes, it failed the first time because it didn't pass 3 of the readiness tests(they came up as incomplete). I set a few more codes to no error reported, and passed the emissions testing 15 minutes later that same day.

Tell me about it, I had the hardest time trying to pass my boosted Honda. To tell you the truth that was the reason I sold the car. I have had my WS6 for 9 years now and I havent done any major mods. Figure I will just get the Kooks race headers and eliminate all the crap from my 00 WS6 I dont need. I want to start now and just do not want to go through the same trouble I had with my Civic. It seems like the tuners are great around this area for this, I will probably go to speed inc since its so close to me.
