$188.00 to Cycle the ABS Module!!! Any local with a Tech II that can help?
So I should get my "new to me" ABS brake module tonight and hopefully I get it all installed. Now I've heard that when a new module is put it it has to be cycled to get all the air out of it, and the only way to cycle it is with a Tech II or another equivalent scan tool. So I gave the local dealer a call and can you believe that they want $188.00 just to bleed the brakes which includes cycling the ABS module?!?
Is there anyone local who might be able to help me out with this?

I know it works on the older abs if you dont have to comuter to hook up to it. I dont see why it wouldnt work now. It might take a little longer to bleed but an extra 30 min is still better than 180.

The problem is not the time, the problem is that there are tons of little nooks and crannies in the module that trap air. Apparently the only way to get the air out is to cycle the solenoids.
