Kokomo here. Hugger Orange z28 m6 with a d1 and cam. I have left plenty of rubber in kokomo and surrounding streets. Havent made it to Bunker Hill yet though. Still running on borrowed time with my clutch and stock rear end. 640+ whp is not a good combo on stock parts and a drag strip.

yeah you are defiantly playing with fire get on youtube and watch some videos of guys crashing when there axels break at half track... its not pretty... any way sounds like your on your way to having a very potent car. id go with a 12bolt personally. it seams like the sports car scene is coming back in the kokomo area. we may have to round up a bunch of us for a meet one weekend. anyone else down for that?

His d1 used to be on my car. I did a MWC 9" over the 12 bolt, stonger, direct bolt in, and weighs like 10lbs more than the 10bolt. Not much more $$ either. Im ordering everything to get the car running next week.

Sounds good somewhere on here there was a post about the efficiency of different rear ends. Unless you're making Major HP or a big tire set up you aren't gaining anything with a 9in over the more efficient 12bolt

Very true. 12 bolt pulls a lot less from the car than a 9". I have seen as much as 50hp to the rollers strictly between the 2 rear ends on the exact same car and setup.

My carr is getting tuned on straightline performances "dyno of broken dreams". He said I wont have trouble hitting 850rwhp on their mustang dyno. Should be close to 1000 on a dyno jet

I grew up in Logansport. Moved away 14 years ago and haven't been back since. Haha!

I know there is a descent scene in Lafayette most times, but as far as Cass or Howard County....not entirely sure.
