Well i go to the emissions place in bedford park today, no SES codes or anything thrown at all..figure it will be fine..so then the guy tells me to go to the office, and hes talking all the **** that i dont understand, but from the sheet i have, there are no DTC codes being thrown but under the part that system monitors there are 3 things that say, "Not Ready" and those are catalytic converter eff, evaporative control system, and heated oxygen sensor...So does anyone know what the hell i can do to fix this so i can get my tag on my car since its expired...The car doesnt have cats or anything, and i REALLY REALLY dont wanna put them back on if thats what its trying to tell me...Also where did u guys go to get your car tested...Thanks!

Also, I go to the markham testing place. The employees there aren't 'motivated'.
I went through with open exhaust, a huge cam, and it was untuned reeking of raw fuel. As it was on the OBD tester, the employee walked around back and waved in front of his nose making the "This car stinks" face to me.

Jake, Mine did the same thing when I put the headers on. Had Outlaw tune codes out but, He fucked up the tune and set them to off instead of on and no reporting. I had a local fix the issue for me. Had to drive the car for it to report.
I Did a search on here and found info on GM driving cycle. It goes thru what you have to do to force computer to run the cycles. Had to do something like drive at 55mph in 6th gear for 3 miles, let off gas and cost down to 40 while in gear, then climb to 60 etc.... Look into it. If I find it ill link you

Either you have a hater or you need to drive your car more. Same thing happen to me because my car was sitting up for awhile though. I go to the same place in Bedford Park, they told me to bring it back in a couple of days after driving it for awhile and I passed.
Good luck!

Here's a little tip I found:
If you KNOW your car will pass the emissions part (tailpipe exhaust, etc.), you can clear your computer with a handheld OBDII tester right before you pull into the place (hide the tester in your glovebox or something). Most of the time, the PCM itself will return "Not Ready," which will force the tester to run a tailpipe test.
Not sure how they do it in Illinois, but this worked with my Blazer in Ohio. Worth a shot, if you have an OBDII tester that can clear codes.

haha i tried that once.
the guy showed me the sheet and told me i was 5x over the legal limit. I reset my battery and went for a quick drive. Went back in the same guys lane and he hooked it up to the scanner. I passed and went on my way.

NOT SUPPORTED's don't matter. But you're only allowed one NOT READY on 99+ cars...Which is why he failed the first time around. I had the same issue the first time.
