Lapeer Dragway? Im getting my car back from the shop after getting some stuff installed and tuned and such, and was planning on making a trip out there this saturday. Has anyone been there, is it a very good track? I got a wet kit installed, cut-out, ls6 intake, U/D pulley and a tune. Also picked up a set of 305 drag radials so it should be a completely different car. Any input would be appreciated!

Save your money.... One of the worst tracks I have ever seen!
Take the time and go to a better track. After all, whatever time you get will most likely not be accurate.
The track is in terrible condition and the parking is all sand. The sand gets dragged onto the track and makes things even worse.

I have the Magnaflow too and love it, my brother got his used from craigslist but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow Exhaust 48108, or you can try one of the sponsors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.
Its not the best track thats for sure. One good thing about it you can get a lot of passes in on Saturday's. You will post better times at Ubly or Milan but at least you can test your car. Its not the smoothest but you will see plenty of 9 sec cars running so it isn't that bad.
The pit area is sand/gravel. If its dry it is no big deal, I have a hard time believing the sand on the track part but I guess its possible.
The DR's should help you, I ran the time in my sig there last fall with fully inflated street tires, lots of pedaling but doable.

If you can go to Milan or Ubly go there instead. I've been to Lapeer many times. Tracks rough, timing system doesn't work half the time, they are right about draging the sand although they make you do some sort of burnout to "get the sand off". If it's dry, the pits are fine, just don't expect to get underneath the car without getting completely sand covered. If it has rained, well don't go. just my .02

I ran ok, couldn't hook worth a ****. But i'll shalk that up to the track. I ran a best of a 12.7 on an empty bottle with a crappy 2.2 60 foot. How about you? There were quite a few F-Bodies out there that day.
