Hey guys, I'm looking for a 1999 or newer trans am local to chicago, though I am willing to travel if needed.

I'm looking for something that has a good body for a turbo build, so high miles is not a problem. Modifications are ok, no cages over 6point.

I would prefer the car to have:

T-Tops
6spd
LS1
NMB, Black, Sliver or SOM in color

I don't want:
Hard top
Convertible
White/Green/Light Blue in color


Nothing over 15k in price. I have a trailer to meet/pick up if needed. Cheap is ok, as long as the body is straight.

I have a friend who has a nice pewter TA with 130K (I think) its got all kinds of goodies (LG cam, LS6 intake, headers, RPM built T56 etc..). I think he is down to $7200.

I have a 99 Trans Am Firehawk Black with T-Tops, little over 90k on the clock. Motor was replaced 2 years ago and has less then 10k on it, T56 Trans is Currently locked on it. Could be a simple bearing not sure. The rebuild shouldnt cost more then $1000 if your willing to pull it out yourself.

Mods are Cam, GTP Ported 5.3 Heads, Ceramic Long Tubes, Moser 9" with 4.11 and True Trac also has Subframe connecters, Driveshaft Safety Loop and Chromemoly Driveshaft.

The Clutch is a Spec 2i I believe and an aluminum spec Flywheel, should have good amount of life on it still was replaced with the motor.
