On the UPS trucks today and tomorrow are...
*Lunati link bar lifters
*Comp cam 243/259 .624 lift on both sides on a 114+3 using LsR lobes.
*Katech C5R timing chain
*melling h/p oil pump
*LPE Ls3 heads polished and ported heads on Comp 925 springs
*GM MLs head gaskets
*8 Ls3 offset rockers
*ARP Cam bolts
*ARP retainer bolts
*ARP Crank bolt
*ARP head bolts
*ARP Main Studs ( All ready on by AES)
*TSP 1 7/8 headers with the TSP Ypipe

I'll be putting it back together Friday, degreeing the cam, checking for ptv clearances and correct pushrod lengths because the heads have been milled for 12-1 compression.

Racecars have rollcages, gutted interiors, slicks, skinnies, racing seats and drag radials. I have non of those things.

BUT THERE are guys (like the ones calling me car a racecar) that have all that stuff!

no roll cage here--only a roll bar, full interior WITH radio and heat and wipers, slicks and skinnies....well hell guilty there. ROAD RACE corbeau seats, no lightweight kirkeys here.

no drag radials but a 4xx cube motor and a 9" zeke? why bother!!!

if my STOCK junkyard $800 longblock scares you, we need to have a talk

My AES 383 will be done by next Fri or Sat! Looking forward to installing it next weekend.

Will have to hook up with you Chi-town boys in the very near future once the motor is broken in.

Did you decide on a cam and heads? Are you going with bigger headers?

I bet you can't wait hu?

Well so far I got the crank sprocket on! Apparently Pace sent me a partial order because some of my parts like the Ls2 chain dampner and the Ls3 intake rockers are on ORDER. when i saw that the new cam retainer I apparently wasn't aware that GM changed their design and have counter sunk holes in them so you now need counter sunk bolts. Well I didn't get the memo from GM about that, so today when I called Pace they said that those bolts will take 3-4 more days. So now I'm just going to go somewhere that carries these items so I can get them shipped. Pace could of said hey we don't have this and that and that in stock so your going to have to WAIT. I'll try Byunspeed Monday to see if they have these things. I got the cam on Tuesday after ordering it on Sunday. That's Jimmy Johns fast delivery. I like that. LOL

Default Engine and trans back home!

Picked up the trans from FLT and the engine from AES late Friday. Hopefully both go in today or tomorrow. Will hopefully be turning the key very soon!

Find an LS3/L76 intake, rather inexpensive, have it ported if you're concerned about a number. Later on consider the FAST, from what I've seen the gains are minimal.

Could install victor jr LS3 intake otherwise. That combination would find you a good peak number.

Thanks Fraser; got the engine and trans installed today; what a pain in the ***! Will take my time and hook up the accessories and wiring this week. Then it's time for a tune b4 firing it up.
