I'll be putting it back together Friday, degreeing the cam, checking for ptv clearances and correct pushrod lengths because the heads have been milled for 12-1 compression.
BUT THERE are guys (like the ones calling me car a racecar) that have all that stuff!
no drag radials but a 4xx cube motor and a 9" zeke? why bother!!!
if my STOCK junkyard $800 longblock scares you, we need to have a talk

Will have to hook up with you Chi-town boys in the very near future once the motor is broken in.
I bet you can't wait hu?
Well so far I got the crank sprocket on! Apparently Pace sent me a partial order because some of my parts like the Ls2 chain dampner and the Ls3 intake rockers are on ORDER. when i saw that the new cam retainer I apparently wasn't aware that GM changed their design and have counter sunk holes in them so you now need counter sunk bolts. Well I didn't get the memo from GM about that, so today when I called Pace they said that those bolts will take 3-4 more days. So now I'm just going to go somewhere that carries these items so I can get them shipped. Pace could of said hey we don't have this and that and that in stock so your going to have to WAIT. I'll try Byunspeed Monday to see if they have these things. I got the cam on Tuesday after ordering it on Sunday. That's Jimmy Johns fast delivery. I like that. LOL
Could install victor jr LS3 intake otherwise. That combination would find you a good peak number.
Looking good!
Thanks Fraser; got the engine and trans installed today; what a pain in the ***! Will take my time and hook up the accessories and wiring this week. Then it's time for a tune b4 firing it up.
