I need some help. Central Ohio My name is David. Im not new, this just a new username because I havent been on here in about 2 years. I have a 1996 trans am and I need some help putting it back together. I havent driven the car in 3 years but its been in my dads garage. I need someone who can help re-assemble it for me. It needs a new opti put in and everything infront re-assembled. I can have it towed and buy all needed parts and obviously I would pay for your services. OR Does anyone know a good shop around Columbus that wouldnt charge an arm and a leg to do the work. If its someone and not a shop, you'd have to be reputable and have the knowledge from doing it before lol. I just need someone who can help me out, I miss driving my car!!! Hi,i would check my local dealership and get a person to work off the clock(your garage). The going rate for car restoration runs about $50.00 per hour
and up. It can be very expensive to say the least. A good service manual and a few friend can save lots of $$$$$$$$. I wish you the best with the project. Make sure you have reputable people and no money up-front....to avoid the hook and sinker. Have a blessed day.........jim

I've taken apart and reassembled more 4th Gen's F-bodys than I can remember. Working on them for a good 10 years. I have my own shop (40X80) that I do small repairs, detailing, and more complicated ground-up projects, like my 94 Diesel Camaro in my signature.
If your looking for a shop to put your Trans am back together, I can certainly do that for you.
What condition is the car in now?

What condition is the car in now?
It will need the hood re-attached, new fluids. Also, the waterpump, fans, opti, wiring, and all things in between re-assembled. Like I said, its been sitting for almost 3 years.

shoot me a pm im up in michigan and its quite a drive and my 92 isnt back together so it would be a pain to drive down there or anything but i can help you with whatever you need. unless you make it owrth my while to drive down there for a weekend and borrow a buddies car lol. let me know. ive built a few 383 LT1s and redone a couple stock LT1s currently working on my 92 vert
