yeah i drove by maybe a month and a half ago and there was nothing but weeds in the parking lots and the stands looked like they were halfway down

Special thanks to real estate developer and former professional race car driver Curtis Francois for purchasing Gateway and getting things back on track for the 2012 season. The looks of the track are probably not as bad as one would think. I know he is going to make this a nice top contender again since he has already secured the blessing of NHRA for the 2012 season Midwest Nationals! Now lets focus on getting back the NMCA/NMRA/LSX series for 2012!!!!!
Many many people here said how much the liked the location, the layout and how well things went. We hope this all happens again!!!!

more news! looks like the first event is November 13th!! only its not drag racing 
but at least its a start for the new Gateway Motorsports Park!

Also guys they are breaking ground this week on the new MAR this will be in New Florence Mo about a hour away from STL. http://www.marpark.net/ They said we will be racing on it in the spring. Think it will be MO only 1/4 drag strip. They havent updated the site in a while. But they did hang the sign

Ok so I read today that the NHRA Midwest nationals are moved forward one week. So instead of Oct 5,6,7 they will be Sep 28,29,30 at gateway motorsports park
