US 41, big show, special event, 3 SEP 11
.
A bunch of us are heading down to the special event Sat. with & without cars.
This is an outside production, track rental type event,
put on by someone who cares and has a clue about drag racing.
Let's show them a big crowd and support someone trying to keep drag racing strong in our area!!!
This is just me trying to help, I have nothing to do with the event
other then being a supporter of local drag racing.
So if you are a fan or not of US 41, come on out and support this event if possible.

My step father and I went down for a event last year at 41 that had these "Chicago Wise Guys". The most fun and excitement i have ever seen at 41 period. I have been competing in the Ultimate shootouts for the last few years and it does not compare to This event on the 3rd. These guys know how to put on a TRUE show.

Sorry to hear what happened down there but it is pretty typical of the place. They lie and cheat everyone that they can, then get in your face if you call them out on it.Never had a ambulance that had supplies and a paramedic in.They use as a billboard so that you think it works.Sooner or later this was going to happen.I have never in ten years seen them spray past the 600 ft,and if they did it was cut way down to look like it was sprayed. It needs new managment to say the least.I have not run my car there in 2 years because of the bad feeling i get once im there.

Actually the manager cheated the people that had paid for a track rental.
Not only because track prep was despicable, but the safety crew that they paid $1600 extra
for was an empty ambulance and a kid in shorts & flip flops??
Try reading some of this, but it is long, and a lot of clueless morons tried to act all cool & badass,
so a lot of it is a waste of time.
We all know how keyboard tough guys can be!!
The rest of us just want to save the track before someone gets killed or it gets shut down.

WOW!!!!!!! I just read all of it. I have heard of Several people tried to buy 41 very recently and they wont budge. It is a money make for sure due to it being " the local track". As stated in other posts, the track could be and will be a great establishment once in the right peoples hands. Myself, My uncle and several friends have offered our time to paint, help cleanup etc just to make the place better for the fans, racers and owners...................... No luck!!!!!!!!!!

Hey the issue is not that they are below standards on safety crew,
this was a track rental, and they charged extra for a fully stocked ambulance and 2 QUALIFIED medical personal.
We all knew they do not have a real safety crew for T & T events, it was our choice, stupid or not, to race and support our track.

That's what pissed me off.
It was a perfect opportunity for denny to let some of the fast guys
in our area see the track is not as bad as the reputation has become.
Perfect opportunity for him to lock up another big track rental on a yearly basis.
Perfect opportunity for him to defuse the KOTS debacle that he caused.
Perfect opportunity to MAYBE show some people the place is not the laughing stock of the racing scene.
Not even considering what people think of him or his loser *** lickers,
he could have laughed all the way to the bank from putting on a good show
with the influential racers & fans that were there that day.
As they say, one bad review is more powerful then 100 good ones.
I still say I will never understand how someone would risk everything to try and act like a badass,
instead of being a professional businessman and do what it takes to cash those checks!!
I could care less what the loser groupies thinks, I care about bottom line!!
