Air strip racing?
#4
In Wilmington, Ohio they're opening a 1 mile strip, Spring 2012. Can run legally. Don't know all of the details yet. Can do a search for Wilmington, Ohio 1 mile to find the company running it. Heard that a racing group out of NC is responsible for getting it opened & are moving their racing to Wilmington.

uh no, but you would be surprised how some small town airports really do look abandoned but are still active airports. Your best bet is to go to a small airport nearest you and ask for a sectional chart of your area. There will be a handful of private airports scattered all over (marked with a purple P in a circle) and ask for the owners permission. Airplanes cannot land on them either without permission. However, most of these are grass fields too, it will take some homework.
