IOWA folks.. so im still thinking about moving out to the cedar rapids area. but i really need to find a job first. and need help looking for a decent apartment. anyone know decent websites to look at for apartments and where to look for a decent job? all my experience is basicly warehouse/forklift type stuff.

Kirkwood is your normal community college experience, a lot of folks end up transferring to University of Iowa which is like 20 min away to Iowa City. I don't know about the forklift type jobs up there, I'd look to see if any of the manufacturing companies in the area have distribution centers. You can find a forklift type job there, or any beverage distribution center ( Anheuser Busch / Pepsi,etc....)
I dont know of a Cedar Rapids specific forum, there is one from the Quad Cities ( Davenport, IA / Bettendorf, IA / Moline, IL / Rock Island, IL ) called Quad City Area Auto Forum http://qcaautoforums.proboards.com/
I see guys from the Cedar Rapids area posting in there about racing guys from here at our local-ish drag strip in Cordova, IL. I don't go to the track much but quite a few guys on that forum frequent the tracks wether drag or auto cross.

Cedar Falls Raceway and Tri State Raceway are just over an hour away from CR. Cordova and Eddyville are alittle farther. Newton just off 80 is 45 minutes away and has a 1/8th in the infield last I knew.

thanks again. just got home earlier today. pulled into palo on friday. interview with worley went good. i think i have the job should find out by next week. and i must say downtown CR bars are fun... didnt even have to try and brought 2 girls home lmao
