I'm up around ames every once in a while.. Have a few old buds going to college there also.

 

Hit me up if you guys are in town. The only "meets"/"groups" I know of are a suburu club. There used to be an actual car club I think through ISU but it is not around anymore.

 

Right now my dd is a 06 Silverado. My project is a S10 that I swapped a l33 into. It is in the shop right now though for a little body work and swapping over to a t56.

 

Any motor work done to the L33? Sounds like a fun little truck

 

All I've done is a cam swap 212 218 on 114lsa, along with springs, tsp pushrods, and a ls2 timing chain. Even though its a small cam (still running fbody manifolds), it woke it up really well.

 

Going to be moving to the Ankeny/Ames/DM area next month. Might be getting a local "street car" club going. Try to do some parking lot meets a couple times a month. Maybe a resturant that will give some food/booze deals.

West Des Moines here. Joined the forums when I had a F-body, now have an 06 GTO.

Anyone know a good place to get heads ported around here? I think a lifter just took a crap and have to pull them soon anyways, figure might as well have the worked while they are off.

 

Live in Altoona but work in Ames. Very interested about this club. Got anymore details? Also if anyone is interested, I've got a 45th anniversary camaro convertible for sale. Its the m6/ls3 and has a eforce supercharger on it. Hit me up.

I have a buddy who is between an fbody and a G8 GT so I'm trying to talk him into an 05-06 GTO to be the middle man as far as price, looks, performance, interior, etc.
