I'm done with winter. Every time we finally start having a nicer day or two we get cold and snow back again soon after. Sure, it isn't a lot of snow, but the cold still sucks and they still keep throwing crap on the roads. It is 19 right now and supposed to have scattered snow showers all day.
I just hope it doesn't then swing the other way and be stupid hot this summer. I hate it when it does that.

And last March we had a string of 80° days right around this time. Then high 90s as early as May, and some 100s in the summer. And it only rained maybe twice.
Right now it's 17°.
The weather around here is not realistic. It rarely does what it's supposed to do.

I really do get a kick out of all these comments... I do not live where you need snow plows or get bitter cold winters, etc... Although I have experienced cold in my life I being from and living in Texas constantly, and without a doubt "HATE SUMMER!" People talk about summer in the 70-80 degree range I am like dude that is camping weather, car cruise weather... man I actually may go out and do something weather! Winter here really is a joke it does snow in parts of Texas, but in South Texas winter may get to 28 degrees "maybe", and if there is any moister whatsoever whole cities will in fact shutdown due to ice! I love winter here, but summer 70-80% humidity at 90-100 degree temps... Hell is the closest thing I can think of to compare. I am not making fun of or making light of ya'll but I can't imagine a place where during summer you actually "Want" to go outside!

The problem with where I live is we get the zub zero temps with snow in the winter and get 100* temps with high humidity in the summer. I can deal with one extreme or the other. Screw this dealing with both. I need to move to Texas and be done with it. At least there I can drive the car all year round.

oh it's not that bad down here. yes it rains alot in summer, but it's not that hot/humid. last summer we were in the upper 80s most of the time, hit 90 every once in a while, and the humidity here is about the same as the chicago area in the summer, it just lasts longer. and IIRC florida had 0 hurricanes last year while NYC had 2 so it's not like Florida is always getting hurricanes.

Too much rain in FL. I wouldn't want to go through the hassle of relocating and then have to deal with the constant threats of rain.
I've got my eye on the southwest if I ever relocate.

You take the good with the bad. If you absolutely can not stand the bitter cold months that seem to drag on forever, Florida is a great choice. You really have to pick the lesser of two evils, in your opinion. Florida has some downfalls, just like anywhere else.
I've lived in Texas. Not a place I could ever call home.
It's 70 something and sunny right now here in Florida. At this time of the year, that's good enough for me to move from the cold states and put up with humid summers. I need sunshine, the 7 month winter overcast kills my mood.

On the other hand, I think the southwest would suit me better. Plenty of heat, no humidity and rarely any rain, and lots of open space. Too bad they have dust storms though....those do suck.

It was 60° in December here in northern IL too.
