Default Michigan: want to go to an NHRA event

Hey there, Ive always wanted to go to an NHRA event with some fast cars. At least single digits. I am in SE michigan and would be willing to travel a couple hours if need be. Does anyone have any recommendations on events or how to find them? It may be late in the year and most of my weekends are booked for august so I may have to wait until next year.

How do I get on top of this stuff?

It's worth a drive down to Indy for the US Nationals. I haven't missed one in 19yrs.

The Indy nationals as mentioned. Another fun event is the ADRL. Unfortunately they are not in norwalk anymore. Was a sept. event. Perfect weather for racing. 60's outside with 90-100 track temps. Watch cars break the beams at the 1/8th with the rear tires every now and then.
