Just a heads up for anybody interested in getting out, I will definitely be at the community park car show in munster on May 7th. Hopefully the weather cooperates. Members, Feel free to message me if you like to meet up and say hi. I will at least be there for a few hours just to get out and cruise, maybe more.

 

I'll be there too. Won't have my car done but I want to check out all the rides there for sure.

 

Cool, maybe I'll run into ya. I'm possibly having a minor issue with my cars tune, but it will be there. Unless it gets squared away. Always wanted to go south and have mike norris do it right but don't have the time right now.

 

Oh really. What's it doing? Who tuned it originally. Mike's awesome. That's who tunes my car. Hopefully be seeing him in a month or 2.

 

I'm thinking it's a combination of things going on besides the tune. Some unusual surging, hanging idle. In park when the throttle is bumped the rpms fall very low, sometimes to the point of almost stalling. It also occasionally does this when coming to a stop. Plus ever since I got it back from the install I've had a whistling or supercharger whine at accelleration. And some rattling on start up frpm under the car. I was a little disappointed in the shop who did my last install and tune so I'm hoping it's an exhaust leak or a vaccuum leak of some sort and not something more substantial. I went back and forth with the shop and all I did was get more irritated. Figured it was best to just deal with it myself because I just couldn't trust them. I wish I had a little more room in my garage to be able get into some of the current or future issues I might have. At least I know I'm thorough, but have a learning curve. I don't have a ton of experience in cars but I've been a working with tools my whole life. construction(electrician) for 23 years. And I know I have the care to learn some things and do it right. Been wanting to go with a little bigger cam, and was hoping to get one installed before a trip to mike norris so I can maximize the money for the tune. Tough spot because I want to take my time, but the driving season is always short to be out of commission.

 

I've done quite a bit on these cars. I could help you with it. I'm not awesome with the tuning part but I have hp tuners.

we have car shows here in Manteno, ill every first and third Tuesday on the month down town Manteno starting on the third Tuesday of May. Open to all cars and bikes of any years , and it is free, no charge. Starts around 5pm and runs to around 9.

 

I made it out to Blue Top Friday night and that was a good crowd. Every Friday night when it's warm and dry, there's a crowd there.

I almost went Friday night to check out the cars. I figured they would be out. It was pretty nice. I heard this Friday might be nice out so I might try to make it up there. Thanks for the info.

 

I was talking to some people at work today and heard the Crown Point car cruise starts this Thursday, 5/12. I think 5-6 start time and I know the cruise ends at the downtown square and cars are usually out pretty late. Weather might botch this one but hopefully we get some nice weather soon!

 

whiting indiana has there first cruise night tomorrow, I'm planning on being there. Hope to see any of you out there. I should be there around 5:30ish.

I was at Munsters show. That was pretty cool. Good turnout for cold windy day.

The first Lansing Cruise Night is June 11th. I also heard downtown Highland has a show tomorrow night but haven't looked into it.

 

It might not be the biggest, but I have always liked the lansing cruise night. I will definitely be there. Prob because it was the cool pIace to be when i was younger. Long, long ago when the grand national, iroc camaro , Firebird GTA, and 5.0's roamed the earth.

 

Nice! I added the date to the Lansing cruise night. I have been working so much I haven't made it to many yet. I heard bluetop has been busy almost every night that it's nice out. Same with Simon Sez. I haven't went myself but a few buddies have gone a lot.
