Moved to Bethany, Oklahoma I have yet to grab my camaro from being shipped to my parents in Arkansas (I'm originally from California). Are smog laws here really lax?

Pretty sure OK is just like Kansas, no emissions testing. Now if the car is being tagged in Oklahoma you might have to get a state inspection beforehand. Not sure what the case is there or what all they will look at. Kansas Highway Patrol usually just looks at the vin plat and rivets. As far as a city job what are you looking at? Public Works (streets, storm water, traffic) or city hall (inspector, etc) or parks?? I worked for city government here in Kansas for a long time. As long as you have a CDL with a clean background/driving record youre a shoe-in because most likely you will be plowing.

Apply to them all, Federal, State, County, City, Townships. Once you get in, even though it might not be a position/duty you want, if something opens up to where you're at, you can always put in a transfer request. I worked at city of Euclid Ohio, started out in the senior citizens program delivering meals, something opened up at city hall and they grabbed me for it.
