Btw I seriously recommend a very good, pretty pricy set of header gaskets... I used the ones that came with the headers just to see and they failed... But the good gaskets are incredibly thick and sink in when u tighten them down... Only other problem was I used washers on the header bolts cuz they were too long. I used Percy seal for good gaskets

A good set of headers wont require modification. All the headers I have ever installed didn't need any at least.

Exactly. Some of the ebay headers are just bing bang boom and shipped. I dont want to have to beat on the car, file down anything or dent my new headers. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Oh yea, today on the way home from school I see a C6 Vette in the mirror. All I could tell was that it was yellow. He moved behind me and I saw it, the bumper. It was a Z06. It was beautiful. We caught the next red light and the guy complemented my Formula before I said anything about his Vette. Really cool guy and was good to get a complement from a true car guy.

Well the SS underwent the knife today. I took the pcm and throttlebody out, jacked it up pretty high, and got out the bracket below the y-pipe. My grandpa is taking the off road y-pipe to a exhaust shop to have them cut since the guy before did a lot of welding.

yeah clearance is why i had to flatten that flat spot a little more on the drivers side, but other than that one minor spot they fit great... and i'm sure it basically is a throw together and ship out kinda deal, but for $400 for what i got i'm pretty happy

Those XS/Ebay headers are really pretty decent. At first they had a fitment issue on one side but they fixed it. I have seen people sell them on this site and read a lot of happy reviews. i have there Y pipe.

If I was on a tight budget I'd definitly get some eBay headers but personally I'd rather just be patient and get what I want. Hell pacesetter isn't that expensive!
