Worthington; it's a VERY small town outside of Bloomfield/Linton. I'm thinking about getting some 3.23 gears (or 3.73s if that won't be too radical) since I have the 2.73s now. Will I run into any problems changing these out or should I go with a converter first? This is a daily driver too...

Hell you are only 35mins away from me. You will have to come down further south sometime and go cruzin on a weekend. I wouldn't put 3.73's in an auto. I hear people have problems getting the car to down shift but since I don't have an auto you might want to research first.

This part of the thread needs more bsmith98 and Beerman. They know about the automatics.

I am a stalled auto and have 3.73's. nothing wrong with my downshifts. It drives and performs great.

To the guy thinking about a stall...Do the stall first then the gears. Do not go lower than 3500 or you will regret it. I had TCI 3500 with stock motor and loved it! since doing cam and upgrading tranny i have a Yank 4000SS and it kicks hard. It also has very good street manners after tuning. I have no bucking, stalling, surging.

Just my 2 cents...

John

What's been happening John? Have you had the car to the track lately?
