Anyone care to give opinions on the best machine shop for having GEN III mototrs machined. I don't really care to deal with a shop that hasn't had a single one of these motors come across their equipment.

I'm not particularly impressed with any of my local shops as far as mashining these motors.

I am extremely picky when it comes to tolerances and methods. Any shop not willing to do exactly what I am asking is not a shop I'd like to use.

I'm willing to pay for better service/quality.

I have considered contacting DSS,AES, and Fast Times.

I am ONLY interested in machine work. No assembly,and no parts wanted.

We prefer to use Midwest Engine Tech in Mokena, IL. Kind of a drive for you but Scott does some of the best Gen 3 work around here. He has built all our LS1 based motors and havent had a single problem with one yet. Better hurry though as he like most machine shops gets busy pretty soon.
