When's the show again? Surprisingly I dunno about it. If the Turd GT is there, I'll probably go. Seeing the black one w/ silver stripes drive around here has made me fall in love with them even more than I did when they first came out. Definitely badass cars.

What else is supposed to be there besides all the boring stuff?

I didnt go today. It's tomorrow and sunday at the rivercenter. I dont know exactly what will be there. Ford GT is for sure, then probably a C6, 05 GTO, Magnum, 300C, 05 stang GT, maaybe a 05 viper, doubtful that the charger will be there. (Some of these are boring I know.) But again I am only guessing, I do not know for sure. I'll probably go anyway tomorrow.

I haven't seen the GT around anywhere. Where's it at, davenport?

I'd love to hit the track with you guys. I hit up Cordova with my brother Blown Z and a couple other people. We'd definately cruise around with you guys when the weather gets warmer.

That's cool.

It sounds like we're going to be able to get together a decent sized group of cars.

So, when do you guys want to meet up first? When does Cordova have it's first Test/n/Tune? I need to get a hold of Scott about early dates.

April is when the Test and Tunes start back up at Cordova. It's nice because it's warm out, but it sucks because it's so damn humid which kills performance.

The best time for racing is Fall. Spring kicks ***, but don't expect your best times to show up for atleast a half a year.

Yes you do! That thing is a beast. I'll be the first to request a ride in it. My car is the fastest car I've ever driven or rode in for that matter. It's making ooh about HALF the power of your car.

J if I could help you I would have already. There is a member on here Glennster from E. Moline. He works at Transmissions Plus in Colona. I'm not making any promises but he is an option if you wanted to ask him. Real nice guy, I told him about this thread. I imagine he's more likely to post up in here once spring is upon us.

And it wont be soon enough.

Thanks I think I'll just break down an buy one, nothing fancy, just a screw type off of e-bay or something.

On a side note, everyone should go over to Lujacks and check out the Carrera GT they have sitting on the floor...... its fricken awesome. I stopped by today and snagged some pics.

Hey man thanks for the offer. I have a floor jack, I've seen the heads for sale at parts stores, so I should probably just buy that...

I broke down and had my car out on Friday. I'm liking the feel of the lid/fra I did. But my street tires never even thought about hooking. Man, I forgot what driving that car felt like. I dont know if I can wait until April.

J, give me a little info on that Carrera GT or post a pic. Is it > 911 turbo?

It's > ANY other Porsche. The Carrera GT is THE ultimate Porsche. The fact that we have one 5 minutes from my house is mind-boggling. $448K they're asking for it.

Well my tranny is now sitting on my work bench in the garage.

Bought an adapter kit for my floor jack, cost $40, and worked fairly well. Now to decide whether to rebuild it myself or find someone with a little more experience to do it..... anybody have any thoughts?

A4 or M6? I have an excellent tranny guy in Knoxville. Killer setups, and the prices aren't bad. PM me for more info.
