Daily drivers don't have to cost a ton. Before I was willing to spend the money to get a nice daily driver, I'd bought reliable cars (beaters) for as little as $400-800 that lasted a good year or more.

As for gatherings in the midwest, there are plenty once the weather gets nicer. Speed Inc open house is coming up on 3/12, should be a good turnout there.

So yeah, it was 1 degree out when I woke up yesterday. Today almost seems warm in comparison. Hopefully a couple more weeks and I can get the car out.

It got up to the mid 40's today and had some rain to wash away some of this salt. Sunday is also looking pretty nice. For the most part it looks like highs will stay above freezing for the rest of the week. I hope next Saturday will be nice for the speed inc open house.

How abou this snow storm. S. MN and N IA are getting hammered. 15 to 20 inches from what I've heard. This sucks, I thought I would be able to get my bike out soon.

It snowed again in southeastern MI this morning. Unless it warms up a lot in the next week I won't be bringing my car out over Easter. I really don't want to just wait until I move home in May, it'll be so nice while I'm up here to have a strip 10 minutes from me as compared to 1.5 hours. I'm gonna be at the track probably once a week once the car is up here.

Oh well... at least that airport is nice... and the Twin Cities in general totally kick ***. I would move back to Minneapolis in a heartbeat if given the chance.

Yeah it is but sitting ther for 8 hours waiting and wondering like she has been gets old. She finally left only to be landing shortly in Saginaw, MI and driving three hours north home..........into the same storm that is now gonna dump on us.
