I couldn't make it to IRP last night, but a few friends did. One has a NBM 99 TA with a suncoast ram air hood and 18" chrome rims and the best he could pull was a 13.80 at 101mph. This car's an auto with inake and a catback. Another friend was running a Hugger orange Z with Zo6 rims and he was pulling 14's at 100mph with a M6. They both said the track was horrible so I was kind of glad that I got stuck working.

I saw both of those cars last night. I can't believe they were having track troubles. I thought it was the best it has been all season.

I was out there last night. I ran once. I went 14.1 @ 105 on a 50shot. I have intake headers exhaust and nitrous.

Saw all the cars out there you are talking about. I thought the track was hooking better than any other street legal night I've gone to. My best was a 13.3@103. I feel sorry for you LS1 guys that were running so shitty. There was an '03 Cobra there running consistant 14's too.

Vid of my 13.3 run.......... http://media.putfile.com/IRP133

I saw that Cobra run. I was coming back up the return road on one of that car's passes. If that were me, I'd take it home I'm with you as far as the traction. I thought it was good too.

Wish I could have made it out there. I've taken the car out to the track 3 times this year and I want to get one more time before the car goes into hybernation.

If you guys are interested, there's some of us over on LS2 that are heading to US41 this sunday. If you guys don't have anything going on and want to run at a better track, then come on up.

Well guys, I'll be out to the track for the final day of the Street drags. It'll be the first time running with the ws6. Hopefully the weather will clear up by then and I hope to meet some of you there if you make it. I know I havn't been for a couple of years.

It's not looking good for the last night....a high of 54 degrees and a low of 38. They'll more than likely cancel if that happens. I certainly hope that doesn't happen.

I was actually pretty impressed with how well IRP was hooking, usually my nittos are sliding all over the place there.

Anyone want to go hit up Muncie on Wednesday night, I wouldn't mind trying that track out.

Default Don't Bother Going Out There!

They cancelled the final Street Legal night at IRP, so don't bother to go out there. I know several of you found out the hard way two weeks ago.

It's strange other smaller venues operate in these temps with no problems but the Big Dog cannot. If it was possible everyone should boycott them next year and patronize the other drag racing venues. The lazy bastards just don't want to work and they rely on their reputation and big events to sustain them. At least they were considerate enough to call it before 3:00 P.M so nobody would drive there to find the gates closed.

Amen to this statement. I invited several frriends to meet at my house to head for IRP yesterday. One lives in Lafayette and came all the way down here just to drive back home after finding out the news. I agree that whoever was in charge of the final track day was either too lazy to go rummaging through his winter clothes closet to find a little windbreaker for his cold little **** or else they were just too busy whatever available wetspot they could find, which obviously sounded a lot better to that person than unlocking the gates at the track and doing all the track prep for us speed freaks to have fun racing one last time this year. Of course this was my first opportunity to race all year cause of work. Story short: We were pissed! Life does go on I just wanted to let of some steam, but I was so ticked yesterday I swore I'd never go to IRP again. I'll find out if that holds true.
