anyone from milwaukee area?
I recently took a trip there, by plane, and am considering moving there.
I heard that you need to buy a car every few years because they rust up.
How much snow and how worried should i be about my car?
don't need a new car, i have a '94 GMC Safari that is perfect condition, well i just sold it, but you get the point
it's not as bad with today's technologies in regards to body materials and parts
kinda gives you all around weather. so gotta find a winter sport you like. mine is snowboarding and it keeps your mind off of longing for those summer days again. it's ok here. income tax is high, gas tax is high, property taxes are very high, etc...
if you do, i can give some recommendations as to good areas, cause you don't want to live in the city, that's for sure
places like new berlin, oak creek, muskego, franklin, waukesha, big bend, the suburbs are where it's at
Chris
i had my jacket on this whole past week i was there.

Alright whoever told you this is just stupid. Cars last just fine here.
Snow, while we get it, usually isn't too bad. May get one storm per year that will dump 10+ inches at a time, although I've seen 24" dumped in a day.
It gets real cold, that is what sucks. I wouldn't drive a camaro just because of the ice, not really the snow.
Good luck, and be prepared for the cold, and lots of beer drinking.
The burbs are pretty cool. Good areas: Men. Falls, Greenfield, Butler (silk titty bar=awesome), Mequon, mukwonago, new berlin, etc.
