I want to swap in an auto, but it needs to be an overdrive 4L60 or 80? I don't want to have to swap out the computor or harness so I am trying to find out if I can use a full manual VB and a manual switch to lock up the convertor. Any opinions?/ideas?

The motor/tranny harnesses are one with the other and you just unplug everything from the old one and put in the new one. It's not to bad, takes about an hour and a half. - do that part after the M6 is out. You're goign to have a hole where the shifter was at and where the clutch was. You can just weld up plates there from the inside of the car if you're careful. I'm sure you can use a manual vb, and manual lock up switch, but i dont know who makes them etc. Personal advice, sell your tranny out right and buy another outright unless its from a friend. Otherwise, it will cost you extra...

Like when guys swap in a TH400 they just leave the 6 speed ECU. If I am way off base here let me know, my experiance is with older carbed non-computor cars.

Solid Roller SBC is going to be around 4XX cubes probably. NOS Big Shot, prolly around the same size shot you use
Nothing is set in stone yet, other than the place building it, which is Dominant Motorsports.

headers/duals just went on over the weekend, bit of a pain in the ***, stripped some threads in one of the header bolt holes in the head , locktited a stud into that one
everything vibrates and rattles now, but man does it sound awsome
