Default Window Tinting

Does anyone know if there is any good places in the SW burb area that is good for tinting windows. Im looking to get my 99 SS tinted, but heres the catch. I want to get limo tint on the doors and hatch. BUT my hatch has been previously tinted, so if anyone knows where i can get the windows tinted and get the rear tint removed. The place i went to that would do it didnt seem like they really wanted my business, cause he was telling me my back window is limo which its not, and hes like it would be a shame to pull that nice tint job off, so i said screw it, and i left...So can anyone help me out? thanks alot

I got mine done at A&M Autotronics on Harlem and like 83rd. Talk to Mario. He does good work and is reasonably priced, plus he does the hatch with one sheet, not strips, so it all looks real clean. Mine was I think $210 all around, or if you do them separate its like $160 for the hatch and $50 for the doors, thats why I did it all at once.

Yea he should be able to do all of that. His # is 708/458-5200 I'm pretty sure he does it, but it'd be best to call to make sure. Their shop is on the east side of harlem, i think its actually around 81st. Hope that helps.

i just talked to the guys at A&M Autotronics, and they said it would be $200 to do the sides and rear window, but it will be an additional $100 to remove the old titn that is on the rear window. Does anyone know where i can get it taken off for a decent price, or is this a pretty good price?

It might cost a lot because it's time consuming to remove tint from an entire hatch.

you are paying for labor on the removal. It is a PITA, after the film comes off there is the sticky residue to take off too. I used mineral spirits, a rag and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Mineral spirits might not be good for the rear defroster though.

If you want the back really dark you might be able to just have another layer put on over what is there.

you do realize that 160 + 50 = 210, so you really didnt get any kind of deal on doing it all at once

I got my rear limoed and my 20% on my sides and my 5% windsheild banner for $130. I guess i would have a hard time paying over $150 for it all again.

Yea, that was a typo, sorry, it was 200 all ats once. Sorry bout that.

$250 is definitely a good price, and Ziebart's does good work too.

$130 for sides and hatch is extremely cheap, Most places in the summer charge $250 for side and one-piece rear.

Pick someone who does good work, otherwise you might have to redo it.
