Default Time to put it all together

I have a 2004 GTO, and I'm looking to find a company that can do a head and cam swap. I live in the northern Chicago suburbs. I have been thinking about taking it to Speed Inc in Schaumberg, however I have heard some negative's about them such as they don't have any ASE certified tech's. Any suggestions?

If you were to look at your local mechanic shops you will see a lot of "ase certifed by them (shop)or on location ceftified" - at least that what i've seen at a few mechanic shops. I would say as long as you have heard they do a good job and stand by there work it'd be alright but if you heard negative then go to another place.

Look for the garage that works on the most muscle cars or have positive remarks. ASE certified tech's know what they're doing.

For Chicagoland area work, I'd recommend either www.flp2win.com or www.ls1speed.com . They are site sponsers.

I've been to both Speed inc and FLP. They've both done great work for me.

Default Ready to have parts installed

I now have all the parts to start modding. I will be doing a set of heads and a cam with rockers etc. I live in the northern suburbs of Chicago, and I'm looking for a good place to have all of this installed. Any suggestions?

I heard a rumor that speed inc in schaumberg doesn't have any ASE certified techs. That sounds a little scary!

Who gives a crap if they heave "ASE certified" techs.

For the most part they come highly recommended. They did my converter/shift kit, dyno tune, duals, tranny swap and other little misc things. In short, they did everything I didn't. No major complaints...

I've dealt with FLP before, although not with something that big, their customer service was VERY good and I would definetely not think twice about going back to them for something else!
