I justed swaped my 2.73s for 3.42s and all went good but i really need some help with getting my speedometer re-adjusted, to go 65 it reads 80. What can be done to fix this. Any help would be great, i know i have to get the computer adjusted but i am lost on going about doing this. Thanks so much.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm getting gears installed in Bloomington next week in my 99 and am going to need the speedo recalibrated also. Any body in the area that can do this or are the shops in the suburbs the only option?

A 'tune' can be more than just changing the speedo, a shop can help you extract a little more power, raise shift points, have your fans turn on sooner, raise your top speed limiter, and also tune for aftermarket torque converters. Sometimes with boltons, depending on the year of the car, you might even need to add fuel to your tune since your car's programming might be too lean for your boltons.
You can also buy a used HPP3 to do about a 1/3 of that stuff, but it's hit or miss with whether the HPP3 is locked and I think it's a major pain to fix that.

If thats the case will probably just go for the dyno tune since i also installed headers and a torque converter during the winter. I dont plan on any major engine mods for a couple of years at least so it seems like this would be a good time to get one done.
Any recommendations for one shop over another for a dyno tune?
