McDonald's at Gurnee Mills on Friday nights. Usually a few late model f-bods. Whorist and I show up a lot. Ricers are forced over to the Taco Bell lot.

Steak N Shake seems to be pretty popular but only on some days. Fridays seem to work the best. No racing though

i used to go to the gurnee hang out ALL the time. ur right about the gurnee kids running their mouths. that place is kind of dead now. is there anyone near NIU or in dekalb/sycamore? i see a few f-bods but i havent seen anyone around me on here.

Damn I wish we had a scene here. The sad thing is there are cars in this town, but no one ever gets their **** out. Its the dumbest **** I've ever seen. I am gonna come up there this summer at least once, its hard to get time to drive 3 hours and deal with no sleep and stuff, but I am dead sick of the sorry *** 10 car scene we have here. Theres like 2 organized cruise ins every summer hosted by some old timers club and they are done by 9:00, which is right about when I get ready to go out. We get a bunch of lowriders and restored old cars, and a handful of really fast cars who just show up and talk mad **** and NEVER race anyone. Yeah, they are 8 second cars, but dragging them up there in a trailer and talking smack then loading up and going home is BS.

aurora's got a bunch of unpainted bodykitted ricers, but they never gather around here, have to drive out to St. Charles, even then those cars are so slow its not even worth it

In and around st. charles there are a few fast cars. I have seen a few cobras with ported blowers and I know theres a GT with a novi 2000 running around also.

I raced a H/C LT1 on a full slick from St. Charles last year. He spotted me out about 5 cars, and I held him off and gained 3 on top of that. That was when my car was only boltons and naturally aspirated though. I will be lucky to get one race this year with my new setup
