Default relocating

I could possibly relocating to either Aurora or Joliet Illinois for a job. I was wanting to see appx. what it costs to live in these areas. I am single with no family so a little place with hopefully a garage would be great. I would prefer just to rent a house but it all depends on cost. All who has some knowledge of these areas please chime in and let me know what is up.

You can find decent housing in Joliet, resale might not be that great depending on what school district you are in. It's decent area and we have a major speedway right in the backyard

Naperville is one of the most in-demand housing areas in the US. If you are looking for something less than $300K, it will be a condo or townhome.

Stay clear of New Lenox. The taxes on my condo are outrageous. I am moving to unincorporated Elwood in a few months.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm looking more into renting than buying right now though.
