Detriot area shop to get used diff & do swap? Hi all,
Live around Detroit, looking for a shop that will drop a used rear end from a 3.42 car into my 2.73 auto.
Kind of place that will pick up the used 3.42 rear, and do the full swap as well. Want to keep my brake hardware and everything.
Mom and pop shop close to a salvage yard kind of thing. Car will always be on street tires so I'm not worried about just using a take-off diff.
I'm in an apartment as is everyone else I know well enough to impose on, so I'm kind of hosed. Have to have it done.
Any suggestions?

Talk to Scott Koreski @ Driveline Solutions (sponsor), he is in Eastpointe. He is the MAN for rears. He may be able to set you up or point you in the right direction.

Got a quote of over $850 which included a new carrier/posi from driveline solutions. Not really what I'm looking for.
Really I just want a 3.23 or 3.42 off a performance axle auto or manual car. Nothing fancy, I don't use drag radials or slicks, and the car is most likely going to stay well under 400hp. I just want to liven it up.
Really hard to find shops willing to do this kind of thing...
