Default I hate HAIL!!!

Down here in Southern Indiana yesterday we had some pretty bad hail. It was a lot bigger than the photos but it melted by the time the storm went through and I could go out to get some. Thank god the car wasn't home or it would have been ruined!!

WOW!

We were under a T-Storm and Tornado watch here but we only had a few sprinkles. It never really even rained.

That stuff was widespread across the whole state. I was fortunate enough to leave work at just the right time, and I sort of drove "between" the storms as they were passing across the state.

Never thought of a car wash...I'm always thinking of overpasses and gas stations for coverage.

Sweet! I'm torn on the issue of hail because that's what I study (I've even run outside while it's hailing to grab some to put in my freezer), but I hate it being anywhere near the goat. I didn't realize you had hail that big down south!! We were supposed to get severe weather, but it barely rained. I'm not complaining tough...some Indy guys got lots of hail damage on their GTOs.

I guess I don't techinically study hail now, but I study how precip forms in clouds...when i'm done with my PhD I want to do hail research. I don't think I've ever seen hail that big before...glad the GTO didn't get any damage.

I had to drive my car to work a couple of weeks ago and it started hailing on the way there but luckily it was small chunks and didn't do anything to my car.

Very lucky...I used to get excited when I'd see hail, now my first thought is making sure the GTO is safe. My boyfriend picked me up at the airport last weekend during all those storms in my GTO, and it apparently hailed some as he was leaving Lafayette. Once he assured me there was no damage, the scientist in me was sad that I didn't get to see it.

Well I can see the interest in studying hail but the be honest it wouldn't bother me if I ever saw hail again. Well if I did I would want it to be a lot smaller LOL.

Ha, you might feel differently if you could be guranteed your car will never be hit by hail. I'll be more excited about it again once I have a garage to hide the goat in. It survived the little hail, but that doesn't mean I'm ok with even small hail hitting it.
