Thumbs down

I hate freakin' snakes! I hate 'em I tell ya! I have seen a handful of rattlesnakes at my parents' house in Palos Park over the years. A couple of those bastard were pretty big too. I'll never forget the time I opened the door to the shed and looked down and there was this big fu(ker looking right at me. Scared the poop out of me. I grabbed a hockey stick, picked up that bastard, and brought him over to the woods... all the time thinking to myself, "I hope this fu(ker doesn't get mad."

i think the snakes you guys are seeing are just the common brown snakes..i actually caught one in my yard last night, around 3 feet, looks VERY similar to a rattler. Head shapes are different though, but coiled up just like one and was rattling its tail at me and hissing and everything, i grabbed it and got bit, and im still alive this morning so no worries guys.

Here is some pics of some snakes i found. Dont forget shades of color and pattern are different from each individual snake, so these snakes could look VERY familiar.

here is a picture of a common brown snake which we have all over IL..

here is a pic of the Massasauga which is known to be found in IL but is extremely rare

Then here is a pic of a Western Diamondback just so u can see the difference

Who do you think you are? Jake "The Snake" Roberts?

Hopefully you'll be alive this evening. There is no way that I would even think of grabbing a snake.

lol..im not scared of snakes at all..ive been around reptiles since i was like 5..i use to go on excursions in the woods and stuff to find snakes to bring home so i know alot of the local snakes. I also kept a bunch of exotic snakes and other reptiles. My plan was to eventually open up a store and become a full time breeder and seller of snakes and other reptiles. You would be surprised at some of the prices of some of these animals..were talking in the 5 to 6 figure range..so it wouldnt be a bad hobby to get into.

Or you can open up a worm store and call it, "I've got worms".

no.and yes. when there young they have no idea on how much venom to use to kill there prey so they just use alot more venom untill thery learn to controll themselves, adults would kill just about every thing they bit if they bit like the youngsters.
