So Guss if you get to race Tyler tonight make sure you tell me how you destroy his 310....but look out for the "RV" cam! Gussly Hernandez I need to take a Friday night off before you go back to work so that we can hit up Osceola. I kinda wanna see what my car will do before I start adding things to it, that way I have a starting point. Do you think that the Talon will be good to go to the track after it's little rear end issue last night?

I went out for 30 min or so last night. I took out the camaro. Feels funny driving it with less boost. But now it is usable power and hooks up in 4th. We might be out tonight to watch the excitment.

Haha, well it seems fine...I'll tally that one up to the screwdriver flying around in the spare tire well, and we'll just say that Racheal's sweet grand am was leaking something somehow...it is a notorious peice of *art* I was just over at DSM and I think I wanna go a few rounds with a couple of the a$$hats over there. Anyways, after 3 or 4 paragraphs scorning me about my transmission and having one guy even "jokingly" say that I need to give my car to someone else, I'm ready to race lmao. Those foglights sure are shoe-horned in there, no room for the trusty excalibur thats for sure! So I geuss we'll have to come up with something else when I load up that front mount! Still dunno when tylers gonna be there. He's been online, but no word on a confirmation, or a time so I'll swing by there a few times to keep an eye out. L8er peoples

Anthony when are we going to take your car to the track so we can see what it'll do? I'll need to talk to Gil and see when the ????? is going to be up there and the turbo miata! That'll be a fun night! So i'm going to have every other friday night off this summer, so we'll have to plan on being out causing hell on those nights! LOL

Haha, well the talon is no longer capable of moving under its own power. I 'Kavorkianed" the trans as of last night. Dunno exactly what the future holds for this car as of right now. Oh, and I sold samson.

Yeah I've gotta schedule an appointment to get my tranny checked out, atleast get the fluid, filter and seal changed... Its leaking a little, not bad but i need to get it fixed asap...

May have to look into a rebuild, so it may be a while before i feel comfortable racing it... Anybody got some ideas for a good performance rebuild that isnt almost as much as buying a performance built tranny?

TCI also has their rebuild kits. There's three available on summit ranging from $170-$257 and they're supposed to be good to 450 N/A horsepower. It's essentially all the parts from their street fighter tranny's, just in a rebuiild kit instead of assembled (obviously).

So I lost my first ever race friday night...a roll from 30, got beat by 7 cars...a dead stop, lost by 5 cars. Now this wouldnt' be a bad thing if I was racing wait4me's cars, but it wasn't...it was a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. And as if that's not bad enough, it is STOCK! The ol' GTP wasn't having a good night at all. I wasn't getting boost out of her and she was runnig hot. I'm going to dig into it this weekend to try fix it, but i'm not even sure what's wrong with it :-(

Well that sucks doesn't Joe

I think I found out what the problem is, on zzperformance they say that it could be my boost bypass unit. They also have a free mod on there to fix it so i'll be doing that saturday. (if you would like to help Joe just give me a call or something) I will also be putting in a 180* thermostat. I figured that might help with the heat problem.

ZZP FTMFW!! that sux that you got killed by a freakin stock eclipse!

Be careful with that BBV mod, it can cause KR in some cases.

How do you read KR? I've heard that when I start putting mods on my car I need to always be checking my KR. And I was just wondering how to go about that.

You just need a scan logging software.

EFILive has theirs on special for $250.

To see Kr and other important things, just make sure the scan tool you are using has enhanced perameters.
