How old are you???? Must be 16 to get your license suspended after 2 tickets. You are on what is known as 2 yr probationary period because you are a new driver. IL is very relaxed on giving court supervision and keeping things off of drivers records. They get more revenue by doing this. Spring the extra $$ for supervision and if it is a major violation, get a lawyer.

I thought it was 3 moving violations in one year. I am pretty sure that is what they are going by now.

Well, then it seems the state was at fault for not sending a notice. However, I know of no law that says you get suspened for 2 tickets in 24 months. My friend tim has had 2 tickets in a year before and he has never had his license suspended

if you are under the age of 21 you get suspended if you get 2 moving violations in a 24 month period. when you turn 21 you are allowed 3 movers in a year. its the graduated driving bullshit. im trying to keep from getting suspended right now. i have court next month and im going with a lawyer thats for sure

OK, did not know that. They did not have those rules when I got my license. Does that mean I am old

Looks like you may get out of the money for the driving on suspended liscence ticket, and get that charge thrown out, but you're likely stuck with a suspended liscence (from the previous infractions) and the impound fee.

im actually 18 going on 19 but like 2000slpss said if your under 21 with 2 movers then it gets suspended, my boss said i can probably pay to get the suspension off my record and get supervision, thats what im hoping for. i know im screwed on the impound fee, not really concerned about that, just the fact that i was never notified about the suspension is what ticks me off. if it stays suspended like it was supposed to, then im lookin at may of 07 to get my L back

Yeah I didn't know about that **** either. Must be new. All the tickets I ever had were from age 16-18 (that was 10 years ago) and my DL never got suspended.

The kids have it rough these days.

Get a lawyer if you have a court appearance. You can be upset you did not get a letter but that's in the past now. I hope you are not driving now.

You won't get a break with the 'didn't get a notice' defence. They will say well you got the tickets. Do you have a court date? You need a lawyer.
