Winter Car
Winter Car I'm looking for a good winter car looking to spend around 1500 on it anyone got anything they want to get rid of that will make it through the winter?? lemme know!
Buy an old beater 3.4 camaro. Fill the trunk with sand or salt bags. Makes a decent winter car. Not for mountains or anything, but around the midwest is fine. I have driven my 3.8 camaro through every michigan winter since new(1998). Weight in the trunk and good tires will make it go through just about any snow within reason.

I've had a few winter beaters over the last 10 years..... '83 Dodge Ram, '78 Caprice Coupe, '88 Skylark Coupe, etc..... The most expensive of the group was $800 and they all ran for more than a year with just a few hundered dollars worth of work.

I got my 94 Sunbird for a tad over a grand with a new top end. 130k miles. Car gets around 26mpg with the A/C on and I drive it every day.
Its not all that pretty but its reliable enough that I drive it every day and put about 1,000 miles a year on the Z.

I got a 92 Sunbird 4 banger 5 speed with 202k miles on it and it runs and drives really nice for how many miles. It's supposed to be my winter car but I'm thinking of getting a truck instead. I love rwd in the winter.
