there are no rereqs required for ASE tests. just make sure you rear all the questions well because some are worded just a little different and it throws off the whole answer. its usually every 6 months. you can register online at www.ase.com i think? i was too lazy to search yahoo for the link.
make sure you get the study books too. they help out a lot.

I haven't taken any of the body shop tests but I have taken all the auto tests. They are not very hard, not even the advanced level tests, the main thing is that the questions are worded in a way to make sure you are paying attention. You need a good grasp of the material but just be sure that you read the question completely and all the possible answers completely and eliminate the 2 that don't make any sense and then decide which one of the 2 left makes the most sense. That's how ASE tests are.
A good study guide is very helpful, I used Mitchell's, www.Mitchell1.com
They have practice tests in there and answers, so you can actually get a decent idea of how well you'll do.
Take your time, I don't know how many you're planning on taking but don't do more than 4 in a day, and the first time out I would do only 2 max! Recheck it when you're done. You've got 4 hours to take them.
Good luck
Mark
