Where are they at? When do they normally close for the season? I would like to go to the track one more time this year to see if I am in the 12s.

OK. Called US41 before I left at 11:30 and then get up there at 12:30 and they are closed. On the phone they said that they were open. Then called again when I got up there and they said that they changed their time to 5pm tonight. Called again right before I left to go home and then they said that they cancelled all racing this weekend. Some how with it raining that there was racing on friday even though they said that they cancelled racing for this past Friday. I am at a loss for words right now. First they said the track is open but then they close it and change the times.

41 used to be open winter sundays weather permitting. last winter was the first one they were closed. I used to love going there on sundays, track pretty much ran itself and it was only a dozen or so cars running.

Well for anyone who might care,41 was open sunday. They finally scraped the rubber off the starting line for about75 ft down track. Traction was at a premium today, We were really impressed,my brothers 62 catalina had 60 fts in the 1.23-1.25 range for the 4 runs he made. The car car went 8.84 at 149 ,466 cubes all pontiac!!! NOW they need to work on the left lane score boards.

That's good to hear, hate when people waste their time & money.

There is nothing wrong with 41 when it's taken care of, yes it's not the best track, and there are some bad spots on the track. (there were big gaps at the transition last time I was there) The bigger problem is they are totally clueless when people express their opinions. They won't listen, and insult and rip anyone that isn't a yes man, and bows to them. Obviously if hundreds of people have the same issues, and the same symptoms, something must be true about the complaints.

Glad you had a good time, and better yet, a safe day of racing.
Now go get that 150 slip. Good luck.

That still doesn't mean the track isn't run badly, and should be much better for what people pay to build car, travel costs, entry fee's and time taken to attend their track and take the money.
Just my opinion, incase newbomb yells at me again.

I think I should just open up my own drag strip. Now that would be sweet, no BS like 66 and 41. I have enough property for it.

I'm in, I was going to invest in the new track on I-39, but they have been taking too long and I got scared away. I only got 3 acres, so I'll be hanging with you.

josh all we need is a tub of vht and that long stretch of road by your house. 120mph runs with plenty of room to stop and no intersections was great!
